Perry Stream is a river in northern New Hampshire, United States. It is about 18.6 miles (30 kilometers) long. This river is like a smaller stream that flows into a bigger river. It joins the Connecticut River.

Where Perry Stream Begins

Perry Stream starts high up in the mountains. These mountains are close to the border between Canada and the United States. It begins just west of the Connecticut Lakes.

Journey Through Pittsburg

The entire river flows within the town of Pittsburg, New Hampshire. Pittsburg is actually the largest town in New Hampshire by land area! The stream flows towards the southwest. It passes through areas where people cut down trees for wood, which is called logging country. Finally, Perry Stream reaches the Connecticut River near a spot known as Happy Valley.

Connecting to the Ocean

When Perry Stream joins the Connecticut River, its water continues a long journey. The Connecticut River flows south through several states. Eventually, it reaches Long Island Sound. This sound is an arm of the huge Atlantic Ocean. So, the water from Perry Stream eventually makes it all the way to the Atlantic Ocean!
