Peshtigo is a town located in Marinette County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2020, about 4,000 people lived there. The City of Peshtigo is actually located within this larger town area. Peshtigo is also famous for a very large and historic fire that happened here a long time ago.

Peshtigo is known for a very important event in its history: a huge fire. This fire, called the Peshtigo Fire, happened on October 8, 1871. It was on the exact same day as the famous Great Chicago Fire. The Peshtigo Fire was one of the deadliest fires in American history.
