Peter Løvenkrands was born in Hørsholm, Denmark. He signed his first professional contract with Danish Superliga club Akademisk Boldklub (AB) in February 1998. He was part of the AB team that won the 1999 Danish Cup.
Rangers: Success in Scotland
In June 2000, Peter joined the Scottish club Rangers for about £1.4 million. He played 182 games for Rangers and helped them win two Scottish Premier League championships. He scored 54 goals for the club. One of his most famous goals was a last-minute winner against their big rivals, Celtic, in the 2002 Scottish Cup Final.
During his time at Rangers, he often played as a left winger, even though he was naturally a centre forward. In the 2005–06 season, he played both positions and had his best scoring year at Rangers.
Peter played a big part in Rangers' journey to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. He scored four goals in the 2005–06 tournament. He scored against Porto and Inter Milan, which helped Rangers move forward. He also scored in both games against Villarreal in the next round. He scored 14 goals in the 2005–06 SPL season, which was his highest number of goals at Rangers.
Schalke 04: Time in Germany
After six years with Rangers, Peter's contract ended in summer 2006. He then joined the German club Schalke 04 on May 23, 2006. He had a good first season at Schalke, playing as a left winger. He scored six goals and helped with four assists. However, he got injured towards the end of the season.

He dedicated a goal against West Brom to his late father, who had just passed away.
Peter formed a strong partnership with fellow striker Andy Carroll. He scored important goals, helping Newcastle win games and eventually get promoted back to the Premier League.
