Phasianotrochus is a genus of sea snails. These amazing creatures are a type of marine gastropod mollusc. They belong to the family Trochidae, which are often called "top snails." This name comes from the cone-like shape of their shells.
What They Look Like
These snails have a strong, shiny shell. It is long and pointy, shaped like an oval. The opening of the shell is also oval. This opening is called the aperture.
Inside the shell, there is a part called the columella. This part is usually curved. It often has a small bump that looks like a tooth.
