Phoebe Robinson is an American comedian, writer, and actress. She is known for her funny stand-up comedy, books, and TV shows. She lives and works in New York City.

Early Life and Education
Phoebe Robinson grew up in Ohio, in the towns of Bedford Heights and Solon. She went to high school at Gilmour Academy. Her brother, Phil Robinson, is a politician who works in the Ohio House of Representatives. In 2002, Phoebe went to college at Pratt Institute in New York City. There, she studied how to write scripts for movies and TV shows.
Comedy and Writing Career
Phoebe Robinson has worked on many TV shows. She was a writer for MTV's Girl Code. She also helped with the third season of Broad City. Phoebe writes for Glamour magazine often. Her work has also been in The New York Times and Vanity Fair.
She created a blog called Blaria. This name comes from "Black Daria". The Huffington Post has featured her blog. Phoebe also performed a live show called Blaria Live in Brooklyn and Washington, D.C..
Podcasts and Books
..... She created and hosted it with Jessica Williams. This podcast later became an HBO series. Phoebe also made a web series for Refinery29 called Woke Bae.
Her own podcast, Sooo Many White Guys, started in July 2016. She made this podcast to feature women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ guests. This was a way to respond to how many white men were in comedy. Ilana Glazer from Broad City helped produce it.
Phoebe has written several books. Her first book, You Can't Touch My Hair (And Other Things I Still Have to Explain), came out in October 2016. Her second book, Everything's Trash, But It's Okay, was released in October 2018. Her third book, Please Don't Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes, was published in September 2021.
TV Appearances and Projects
Phoebe has appeared on many TV shows. These include NBC's Last Comic Standing and the Today show. She has also been on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Last Call with Carson Daly. For Comedy Central, she appeared on Broad City and The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. She was also on FX's Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell.
Many magazines and festivals have named her a comedian to watch. These include Vulture, Essence, and Esquire.
In August 2019, it was announced that Phoebe would star in and produce an interview show for Comedy Central. This was the first project from her company, Tiny Reparations. In July 2022, her TV show Everything's Trash started on Freeform. In the show, Phoebe plays a podcast host named Phoebe. She deals with growing up while her older brother, played by Jordan Carlos, runs for a political office. Recently, she signed a deal with Sony Pictures Television to create more projects.
