Pilot Station (which is Tuutalgaq in the Yup'ik language) is a small city in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska, United States. It is located in the southwestern part of Alaska. In 2020, about 615 people lived there. The city's population has grown over the years.

Where is Pilot Station Located?
Pilot Station is found on the northern bank of the lower Yukon River. This river is very important to the area. The city is about 80 miles (129 kilometers) from the Bering Sea. This is "as the crow flies," meaning in a straight line.
The city covers a total area of about 2.3 square miles (5.9 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 1.7 square miles (4.4 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.6 square miles (1.5 square kilometers), is water.
How Many People Live Here?
Pilot Station first appeared in the U.S. Census in 1890. Back then, it was called "Ankahchagmiut" and was an unincorporated Eskimo (Yup'ik) village. It officially became a city in 1969.
