Pizza Delight is a popular Canadian restaurant chain. It started in 1968 in Shediac, New Brunswick. Two friends, Léandre Bourque and Allard Robichaud, opened the first restaurant. Later, Bernard Imbeault and his friends bought the company.
Today, its main office is in Moncton. Pizza Delight is famous for its delicious pizza, pasta, and fresh salads. You can find over 70 Pizza Delight restaurants across Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. Almost half of them are in New Brunswick!
Pizza Delight's Big Growth
In 2000, Pizza Delight bought another restaurant chain called Mikes. Mikes was popular in Quebec and Ontario. Pizza Delight kept growing! In 2005, they bought Scores. Then, in 2006, they added Bâton Rouge to their family of restaurants.
To show they owned many different restaurants, the company changed its name to Imvescor in 2006. At its biggest, the company owned and ran over 350 restaurants across Canada. These included:
- 95 Pizza Delights
- 94 Mikes Restaurants
- 28 Bâton Rouge Restaurants
- 40 Scores Restaurants
In December 2017, a large company called MTY Food Group bought Imvescor. This included Pizza Delight and all the other restaurant chains.
