Plainview is a small city located in Yell County, Arkansas, in the United States. In 2010, the city had a population of 608 people. By 2020, this number changed to 467. Plainview is considered part of the Russellville area.

Education in Plainview
Students in Plainview attend public schools managed by the Two Rivers School District. This school district helps students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade.

- Two Rivers Elementary School—This school is for younger students, from Kindergarten to 6th grade.
Before 2004, Plainview had its own school district called the Plainview-Rover School District. On July 1, 2004, it joined with another district to form the Two Rivers School District. The older high school, Plainview-Rover High, closed in 2010 when the new Two Rivers High School opened. The Plainview Elementary School also closed in 2012 when the new Two Rivers Elementary School was ready.
