Platja d'en Bossa (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈpladʒə ðəm ˈbosə]; Spanish: Playa d'en Bossa) is a popular holiday spot. It is located on the Spanish island of Ibiza. Many visitors from Britain, Germany, and Italy come here for their holidays.
This resort is in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. It is about 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) south of Ibiza Town. The island's main airport, Ibiza Airport, is also very close. It is only about 3.2 kilometers (2 miles) away.
About Platja d'en Bossa
Platja d'en Bossa has the longest beaches on the island. The beach stretches for about 2.7 kilometers (1.7 miles). This area is known for its many large hotels and restaurants. You can also find lots of shops and homes here.
The buildings in Platja d'en Bossa vary. Some are low, while others are tall. During the summer months, this resort becomes one of the busiest places on the island. Many people visit to enjoy the sun and the sea.
Music and Entertainment
Platja d'en Bossa is famous for its lively music scene. It has many places where you can enjoy music and events. One very well-known venue was called Space. It was a large music venue in the resort until it closed in 2016.
Space started as a conference center. Later, it was sold and opened as a music venue in 1987. In the early 1990s, DJs began playing music outdoors. These outdoor sessions became very popular. Many famous DJs have performed here over the years. These include Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, and Sasha. Other well-known names like Erick Morillo and Groove Armada also played there.
Another popular place for music and events is Ushuaïa. It has hosted special events, like those for BBC Radio 1 in Ibiza. Sankeys is also a well-known music venue in Platja d'en Bossa.
