Pleasant Bay is a large bay on the Atlantic Ocean. It's located just north of the "elbow" of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. A long strip of land and a barrier island protect its eastern side. When the tide is high, this beautiful bay holds about 7,825 acres (31.67 km²) of saltwater.
History of Pleasant Bay
The first people to live around Pleasant Bay were the Nauset Native American tribe. They called the bay Monomoyik, which means "Great Bay."
