Plombières is a town in Belgium. It is located in the province of Liège, which is part of Wallonia. Until 1919, its official name was Bleyberg.
As of January 1, 2006, about 10,401 people lived in Plombières. The town covers an area of 53.17 square kilometers. This means about 200 people live in each square kilometer.
Plombières is made up of several smaller areas called districts. These include Gemmenich, Hombourg, Montzen, Moresnet, and Sippenaeken.
The local language spoken here is called Low Dietsch. It is a special dialect that mixes parts of East Limburgish and Ripuarian languages.
