The Adventure Begins: Game Story

Pikachu must engage in battle with a Feraligatr in order to befriend it.

One day, Pikachu is playing with his friends Charmander, Chikorita, and Piplup. Suddenly, they are all sent to a special place called the PokéPark! Here, the amazing Mythical Pokémon Mew tells them some bad news. The Sky Prism, which protects the entire park, has broken into 14 pieces. These pieces are now missing!

Pikachu, along with his friends, starts a big adventure to find all the missing Sky Prism pieces. The PokéPark is huge, with many different areas like meadows and even lava zones. As Pikachu explores, he meets and makes friends with many other Pokémon. These new friends can help Pikachu by using their special abilities.

Finding Sky Prism Pieces

To get the Sky Prism pieces, Pikachu needs to complete various challenges and attractions around the park. When you finish an attraction, you'll earn a piece of the Sky Prism. Once Pikachu has collected all 14 pieces, there's one final challenge. He must play a tough game of obstacle hop with Mew. After that, he has to battle Mew and then play a game of chase. Once all these challenges are done, everything in the PokéPark goes back to being friendly and peaceful.

Pikachu's Special Moves

In battles, Pikachu has some cool moves he can use. He can use his powerful Thunderbolt attack. He can also use Dash to quickly move around. Later in the game, he learns Iron Tail. You can even upgrade these moves to make them stronger! Pikachu can also jump and do a flip to knock his opponents into water, like a river or a lake.

How to Play: Game Features

Players can make friends with other Pokémon in many fun ways. You can play different mini-games to become friends.

  • Battle: Challenge other Pokémon to a fight.
  • Hide & Seek: Play a game of hide and seek.
  • Chase: Try to catch or outrun other Pokémon.
  • Obstacle Hop: Jump over obstacles in a race.
  • Quiz: Answer questions correctly.

Park Attractions and Wii Remote Fun

Some of the main attractions in the PokéPark are exciting challenges. Pikachu and his partner Pokémon might have to race against the clock to reach certain goals. Or, they might need to deflect rocks to earn points. You use the Wii Remote for these activities. You'll wave it around and push buttons to control Pikachu's actions.

A cool feature is that players can take screenshots of their game. You can save these pictures to an SD Card or send them to the Wii Message Board. This lets you share your favorite moments from the game!
