Pokémon Picross is a fun puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS. It features many popular Pokémon characters. This game was made by Jupiter Corporation. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company published it.
Pokémon Picross is part of the "Picross" game series. These games use number puzzles to create pictures. You can download Pokémon Picross from the Nintendo eShop. It became available around the world in December 2015.
How to Play Pokémon Picross
Pokémon Picross uses a type of puzzle called a nonogram. In these puzzles, you see numbers on a grid. These numbers tell you which squares to fill in. When you fill in the correct squares, a picture appears.
Using Pokémon Abilities
A cool twist in Pokémon Picross is that you get a Pokémon when you finish a puzzle. You can use these Pokémon to help you solve other puzzles. Each Pokémon has special abilities based on its type.
For example, Electric-type Pokémon can slow down the timer. Fire-type Pokémon can automatically fill in parts of the grid. After using an ability, a Pokémon needs to rest. This is called a cooldown period. Some abilities only work on certain puzzle sizes.
Understanding Picrites
The game has special items called Picrites. You need Picrites to do many things in the game. For instance, you use them to unlock new areas. You also need them to carry more Pokémon into puzzles.
Picrites can help you unlock special Mega Evolution stages. They also let you restore your energy right away. Your energy usually refills over time.
You can get Picrites in a few ways. You can earn them by completing goals in each stage. These goals might include using a specific Pokémon or finishing a puzzle quickly. You can also play the Daily Challenge. This challenge asks you to solve several small puzzles fast. Earning achievements also gives you Picrites. You can also buy Picrites with real money if you want more. The game even gives you extra Picrites for free if you spend a certain amount.
