Pokémon Snap (ポケモンスナップ, Pokémon Sunappu) is a fun video game where you get to be a photographer! It was made by HAL Laboratory and Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 game console. In this game, your mission is to take awesome pictures of Pokémon living on an island.
The game is a first-person rail shooter. This means you see the game through the eyes of the main character. You also move along a set path, like riding on a train track. You can't control where you go, but you can look around and interact with things.
When Pokémon Snap first came out, it featured about 63 different Pokémon. At that time, there were 151 Pokémon in total. Players could even take their favorite pictures to special stores. In North America, they went to Blockbuster. In Japan, they went to Lawson to get their photos printed!
Where to Play It
The game was later released for the Wii's Virtual Console service in 2007. The Virtual Console allowed people to play older games on their newer Wii console. If you played it on the Wii, you could even send your best pictures to the Wii's Message Board. This let you share them with your friends!
