Polk is a village in Ashland County, Ohio, United States. The population was 310 at the 2020 census.
History
Polk was laid out in 1849. A post office called Polk has been in operation since 1846.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.03 square miles (2.67 km2), of which 1.01 square miles (2.62 km2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) is water.

2010 census
As of the census of 2010, there were 336 people, 129 households, and 87 families living in the village. The population density was 332.7 inhabitants per square mile (128.5/km2). There were 136 housing units at an average density of 134.7 per square mile (52.0/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 97.0% White, 0.3% African American, 0.9% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4% of the population.
There were 129 households, of which 34.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.7% were married couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.6% were non-families. 27.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.10.
The median age in the village was 39.3 years. 27.1% of residents were under the age of 18; 3.8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 30.1% were from 25 to 44; 27.6% were from 45 to 64; and 11.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 47.6% male and 52.4% female.
