The creek begins south of a place called Rockport. From there, it flows generally toward the west and northwest. Along its path, it passes through several small communities. These include Lowdell, Jerrys Run, and Flinn.
Where Pond Creek Ends
Pond Creek briefly enters Jackson County near Flinn. It also enters Jackson County again close to where it meets the Ohio River. The creek finally flows into the Ohio River at a community also named Pond Creek. This spot is right on the border between Jackson and Wood counties.

Downstream from Flinn, Pond Creek gets water from another smaller stream. This stream is called Little Pond Creek. Little Pond Creek joins Pond Creek from the south.
