The Port Gamble Tribal Community is a special area in Kitsap County, Washington, United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government counts for population, but it's not officially a city or town. This community is home to the Port Gamble Band of S'Klallam Indians, a Native American tribe. In 2010, about 916 people lived here.

Where is the Port Gamble Tribal Community?

This community is located in the northern part of Kitsap County. It sits on the east side of a bay called Port Gamble, which is part of the Hood Canal. The Hood Canal is a long, narrow arm of the sea.

The community also includes a smaller area known as Little Boston. Right across the bay, to the west, is the historic town of Port Gamble. The tribal community is about 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of Kingston. It is also about 19 miles (31 km) north of Bainbridge Island.

Land and Water

The Port Gamble Tribal Community CDP covers a total area of about 12.6 square kilometers (4.9 square miles). Most of this area, about 11.0 square kilometers (4.2 square miles), is land. The rest, about 1.7 square kilometers (0.65 square miles), is water. This means about 13% of the area is covered by water.
