A Look Back at Postans
Postans gets its name from one of the first people to settle in the area, George Postans. He arrived in the Colony of Western Australia in 1850. After he was set free, he bought about 100 acres (0.4 square kilometers) of land in 1882. Before it was called Postans, this area was known by another name: "Caledonia."

Medina Research Station
One key part of Postans is the "Medina Research Station." This station is run by the Department of Agriculture and Food for the state government. Scientists and researchers work here to study plants and farming methods. Their work helps farmers grow better crops and improve agriculture in Western Australia.
