Pramac Racing is a cool motorcycle racing team that competes in the top-level MotoGP World Championship. The team started in 2002 by an Italian company called Pramac. Later, in 2005, Pramac Racing teamed up with a Spanish group called d'Antin MotoGP. For a while, they were known as "Pramac d'Antin." After Luis d'Antin left in 2008, the team went back to being called "Pramac Racing."
Their main base is in Casole d'Elsa, a beautiful place in Tuscany, Italy.
In 2023, Pramac Racing made history! They won the MotoGP teams' championship. This was super special because they were the first independent team (not directly owned by a big motorcycle factory) to ever win this title.

History of the Team
How it All Started: d'Antin MotoGP
The d'Antin MotoGP Team began in 1999. It was created by a Spanish former motorcycle racer named Luis d'Antin. Their base was in Madrid, Spain.
From 1999, the team raced in 250 cc championships with Yamaha bikes. They had Spanish riders like Fonsi Nieto. In the same year, they also raced in the 500 cc class with Japanese rider Norifumi Abe. Abe even won a race in 2000 at the Japanese Grand Prix.
In 2002, the 500 cc class changed to MotoGP. The D'Antin team kept racing, but their older 2-stroke motorcycles struggled against the new, more powerful 4-stroke bikes. They got a new Yamaha YZR-M1 in 2003. Then, in 2004, they switched to Ducati motorcycles. They even had famous riders like Neil Hodgson and Rubén Xaus. However, the team faced money problems, which made it hard to test their bikes. Still, Xaus managed to get a third-place finish in Qatar!
Pramac's Early Days
Pramac Racing joined MotoGP in 2002. They took over another team's activities and moved to Italy. They used Honda NSR500 bikes with Tetsuya Harada as their rider.
In September 2002, Pramac signed a big deal with Max Biaggi and Honda Racing Corporation to use a Honda RC211V. For 2003, Pramac also had its own team with a Honda RC211V for Makoto Tamada. Tamada even got a podium finish in Brazil!
In 2004, Pramac Racing worked with another team called Pons Racing. Tamada had two wins that season, and Biaggi also won a race. After this, Biaggi left, and Pramac decided to start a new adventure with Ducati and d'Antin.
Joining Forces: Pramac d'Antin
In 2005, d'Antin MotoGP and Pramac Racing officially joined together to become Pramac d'Antin. They used Ducati Desmosedici GP4 bikes. At first, they used Dunlop tyres, which weren't very competitive, so they often finished near the back.
For 2006, they got the same Ducati Desmosedici GP6 bikes as the main factory team. But the Dunlop tyres were still a challenge.
Before the 2007 season, Pramac took full control of the d'Antin team. They started using the new 800 cc Ducati Desmosedici GP7 and Bridgestone tyres. Brazilian rider Alex Barros joined the team and had a great season, often finishing in the top ten. He even got a podium finish at the Italian Grand Prix!
A New Name: Alice Team
In 2008, the team continued with Ducati Desmosedici GP8 bikes and Bridgestone tyres. They were sponsored by Alice, an internet service, so the team was renamed the Alice Team. Luis d'Antin, who started the d'Antin team, left midway through the 2008 season.
Back to Pramac Racing
For the 2009 season, the team went back to being called Pramac Racing. They used Ducati Desmosedici GP9 bikes.
In 2013, Pramac Racing got a special "Factory supported team Ducati" status. This meant they got the same high-tech bikes as the main Ducati factory team! Riders like Andrea Iannone and Ben Spies joined.
Over the years, many talented riders raced for Pramac, including Danilo Petrucci, Scott Redding, and Jack Miller. In 2019, Francesco Bagnaia, a Moto2 World Champion, joined the team.
A big moment came in 2021 when Johann Zarco and Jorge Martín joined. Jorge Martin scored the team's first-ever win in the top MotoGP class at the Styrian Grand Prix!
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, Pramac Racing will switch to using factory-spec Yamaha bikes. This shows how important they are in the racing world!
