Prank Patrol was a super fun Canadian TV show for kids! It aired on YTV. In each episode, the host, André "Andy" Simoneau, teamed up with a group of ninjas. Their mission? To help kids pull off amazing pranks on their friends or family members.
The show was all about making the pranks seem super real. Experts would help the pranksters convince their victims that wild things were actually happening. Imagine someone suddenly having superpowers, aliens landing, or even a smart gorilla appearing! After the prank was a success, the victims would find out it was all a big trick. It was always a hilarious reveal!

How the Show Worked
Every episode of Prank Patrol started with Andy and the Ninjas driving their special van. They would head to where the prank victim was. After a quick introduction, the Prank Patrol logo would flash on screen, and the fun would begin!
The ninjas were key to the pranks. They drove the van, watched the victims closely, and helped carry out the tricks. Sometimes, they even pranked Andy himself! One week, a karaoke machine might spray water on singers. Another week, a magic spell book could cause funny things to happen to readers.
Recipe for a Prank
The show also had a cool animated part called "Recipe for a Prank." This short cartoon usually showed a little girl pranking her older brother, or vice versa. It was a fun way to teach kids how to plan simple pranks for their own family or friends. The cartoon often started with one sibling annoying the other. Then, the prankster would come up with a clever plan to get back at them. In the end, the prank was always a success, and the victim would be hilariously surprised!

Other Versions of Prank Patrol
Prank Patrol was so popular that other countries made their own versions!
British Prank Patrol
There was a British version of Prank Patrol made for CBBC. It was hosted by Barney Harwood. The design experts who helped create the pranks were Lee Drinkwater, Stephen Dee, and Darren Longthorne. The first series was shown as part of a Saturday morning show called TMi. The second series aired on BBC One in early 2008. The Ninjas in this version were played by Jennifer Cooper and Graeme Malcolm.
Australian Prank Patrol
When the new digital TV channel ABC3 launched in Australia, Prank Patrol was one of the shows they produced. The Australian version was hosted by Scott Tweedie. It was a big hit! Because the first series was so successful, the ABC decided to make a second series. Each episode of the Australian show was 25 minutes long.
