Preetika Rao is an actress and model from India. She is famous for her work in Hindi TV shows and commercials. Preetika started acting in a Tamil movie called Chikku Bukku in 2010. She became very well-known for playing Aaliya Zain Abdullah in her first TV show, Beintehaa, from 2013 to 2014. For this role, she won many awards, including the Gold Award for Best New Actress.

Early Life and Education
Preetika Rao was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. She grew up in a family that speaks Konkani. She studied history at Sophia College in Mumbai. She also earned a diploma in Advertising and Journalism. Before becoming an actress, Preetika wrote for newspapers like Bangalore Mirror and Deccan Chronicle. Her older sister, Amrita Rao, is also a famous Bollywood actress.
After her first acting roles, Preetika went to the United States. She studied Broadcast Journalism at the New York Film Academy in New York City.
Preetika Rao's Acting Career
Starting in Movies (2010–2012)
Preetika Rao began her acting career in 2010. Her first movie was the Tamil film Chikku Bukku. In this movie, she played the main character, Meenal "Ammu," alongside actor Arya. Later, in 2012, she made her Telugu movie debut. She played Madhu Latha in the film Priyudu, acting opposite Varun Sandesh.
Becoming a TV Star (2013–2014)
In 2013, Preetika moved from movies to television. She made her TV debut in the show Beintehaa. In this popular show, she played the role of Aaliya Ghulam Haider, later known as Aaliya Zain Abdullah. She acted alongside Harshad Arora. Her performance in Beintehaa was highly praised. She won several awards, including the Gold Award for Best New Actress.
Music and More Roles (2015–2018)
In 2015, Preetika also started singing. She released her first song, "Na Tum Humein Jano." The same year, she acted in her first Kannada movie, Rebel. She played a character named Preetika in the film. In 2016, she appeared as a contestant in a sports reality show called Box Cricket League.
Preetika returned to television in 2017 with the show Love Ka Hai Intezaar. She played Mohini Mathur Ranawat, who later became Mohini Ayaan Mehta. She acted opposite Mohit Sehgal. She also appeared in a short film called Metro Mulaqat. In 2017, she released her second song, "Yaad Kiya Dil Ne," with Siddharth Basrur.
In 2018, Preetika played Mahima "Mahi" Malhotra in an episode of Laal Ishq. She also appeared in music videos for songs like 'Surilee' (2017), 'Tere Vede' (2018), and 'Tenu Bhul Na Pavagi' (2018).
Current Work (2019–Present)
Preetika Rao started her own YouTube channel in June 2022. She creates and produces content for her channel, which has become very popular. She now has over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.
