Destiny Nicole Frasqueri, born on June 14, 1992, is a talented American rapper and songwriter. She is known professionally as Princess Nokia.
She released her first studio album, Metallic Butterfly, in 2014. After that, she released the mixtape Honeysuckle in 2015. Princess Nokia became very well-known for her 2017 studio album, 1992 Deluxe. In 2018, she released another mixtape called A Girl Cried Red. Then, in 2020, she released two studio albums: Everything Sucks and Everything Is Beautiful.

Early Life and Background
Destiny Frasqueri identifies as Afro-Indigenous. Her family comes from Puerto Rico. When she was ten years old, she lost her mother. Between the ages of nine and sixteen, she lived in foster care.
After leaving foster care, she moved in with her grandmother. This is when she started writing rhymes. At that time, Frasqueri lived in areas of New York City like East Harlem and the Lower East Side.

Starting Her Music Career (2010–2018)
In 2010, Destiny Frasqueri recorded her first song, "Destiny." She released it on her SoundCloud page under the name Wavy Spice. Later, in 2012, she put the song on her YouTube channel.
Next, she released a song called "YAYA." This song talks about her Taíno ancestry, which is part of her heritage. Frasqueri then changed her stage name to Princess Nokia. She said this name was like an alter ego, a different personality she created. She introduced this new character with a song simply called "Nokia."
On May 12, 2014, Princess Nokia released her first studio album, Metallic Butterfly. It was first shared on Vice and SoundCloud.
