Princess Rajwa Al Hussein (born Rajwa Al Saif on April 28, 1994) is a member of the Jordanian royal family. She was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Princess Rajwa is married to Hussein, Crown Prince of Jordan. He is the person who will likely become the next king of Jordan.

Their engagement was announced in August 2022. They got married in a ceremony in Amman, Jordan, on June 1, 2023. The couple has a daughter named Princess Iman. Before her marriage, Princess Rajwa studied to become an architect. Since her wedding, she has joined the Crown Prince for official events in Jordan and other countries.

Early Life and Education

Rajwa bint Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif was born on April 28, 1994. Her birthplace was Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is the youngest of four children. Her father was Saudi businessman Khaled Al Saif. Her mother is Azza Al Sudairi. Rajwa has three older brothers and sisters: Faisal, Nayef, and Dana.

Her mother's family, the Al Sudairi family, is related to the current King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman.

Rajwa finished her high school education in Riyadh. She then went to Syracuse University in the United States. In 2017, she earned a degree in architecture. While at Syracuse, she helped organize a special meeting about new businesses in desert areas.

She also earned another degree in visual communications in 2019. This was from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. After her studies, she worked at an architecture company in Los Angeles. Later, she moved back to Riyadh to work at a design studio. Besides her first language, Arabic, Princess Rajwa also speaks English and French very well.

Marriage and Family Life

The Royal Hashemite Court announced Rajwa Al Saif's engagement to Hussein, Crown Prince of Jordan. He is the oldest son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan. This happy news was shared on August 17, 2022.

The engagement ceremony took place at Rajwa's father's home in Riyadh. The King and Queen of Jordan were there. Members of both the Jordanian royal family and the Al Saif family also attended. On May 22, 2023, a special pre-wedding party was held for Rajwa. She wore a beautiful dress designed by a Saudi fashion brand.

The wedding ceremony happened on June 1, 2023, at Zahran Palace. Rajwa wore a special gown designed by Elie Saab for the ceremony. For the evening party, she changed into a Dolce & Gabbana gown. After her marriage, she became known as Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al Hussein.

On August 3, 2024, Princess Rajwa gave birth to a daughter. Her name is Princess Iman bint Hussein. She was born at King Hussein Medical Center in Amman. In Jordan, the throne passes to the oldest son. This means Princess Iman is not in the line of succession to become queen.

Public Engagements

Princess Rajwa made her first official public appearance as Crown Prince Hussein's fiancée in October 2022. She visited the Royal Covenant with Hussein and his great-uncle, Prince Hassan bin Talal. In January 2023, she joined Hussein for a visit to an initiative for people who are blind or visually impaired. This was their first official public event together as a couple.

In September 2023, the couple met with US congress members in Washington DC. This was their first public engagement after their wedding. In January 2024, Princess Rajwa went with Crown Prince Hussein on an official visit to Singapore. In June 2024, she attended King Abdullah II's Silver Jubilee celebration in Amman. This event marked 25 years of the King's rule.

In November 2024, she attended the opening of Jordan's 20th parliamentary session. King Abdullah II led this event in Amman. In December 2024, she and her husband visited the "Seeds of Hope Center" in Amman. This center helps adults and children with certain health conditions. In March 2025, she joined her husband during a visit to the "Children's Museum Jordan" in Amman. They celebrated the iftar meal with orphans there.
