History of Princeton
Princeton began around 1869. It grew because a railroad was built through the area. The city was named after another city called Princeton, Illinois.
The railroad tracks are no longer used for trains in Princeton. Instead, these old tracks have been turned into a fun path called the Prairie Spirit rail trail. This trail is great for walking or biking!
