Prindle is a small, quiet place in Washington State, right next to the beautiful Columbia River. It's called an "unincorporated community," which means it's a group of homes and people living together, but it doesn't have its own city government like a big town. Prindle is special because it's located inside the amazing Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, a protected natural wonder. You can find Prindle in Skamania County, along Washington State Route 14, a main road that follows the river. It's nestled between the towns of Washougal to the west and Skamania to the east.

The Story of Prindle: How it Began
Prindle got its name from an early settler named Ernest Hinsdale Prindle. He was one of the first people to make his home in this area.

A post office was opened in Prindle in 1909. A post office is a place where people can send and receive mail, buy stamps, and sometimes even handle money. It was a very important service for the people living in Prindle at that time. The Prindle post office served the community for many years, but it closed down in 1938.
