Puff Kuo (Chinese: 郭雪芙; pinyin: Guō Xuěfú; born on June 30, 1988) is a talented Taiwanese actress, singer, and model. She was the youngest member of the popular Taiwanese girl group Dream Girls before the group stopped performing together.
Puff Kuo was discovered by talent agents in 2008. In 2010, she joined the girl group Dream Girls. The group released their first music album in 2011. That same year, Puff also started her acting career in a TV show called Inborn Pair.

Early Life and Family
Puff Kuo was born on June 30, 1988, in Gongliao Township, which is now part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. When she was young, her mother passed away. Puff and her younger sister were then cared for by relatives. Her father worked in China for many years.
Puff and her sister grew up separately, with different relatives. However, they reconnected later in life. Puff was able to help her sister once she started her career in entertainment. Puff is also a big animal lover and has three cats. She even rescued one of her cats from a busy highway!
Puff Kuo's Career Journey
Starting Out: 2008–2010
Puff Kuo began her career as a model in 2008. Her very first TV appearance was in a McDonald's commercial in Taiwan. After this commercial, a company called Dorian Entertainment discovered her and signed her as an artist.
During this time, Puff and her future bandmates, Tia Lee and Emily Song, trained together. They were preparing to officially debut as the group Dream Girls. Puff also appeared on several popular TV variety shows like Guess, 100% Entertainment, and Kangxi Lai Le. She also starred in many music videos.
First Acting Roles: 2011–2012
In December 2011, Puff Kuo got her first acting role in a TV drama called Inborn Pair. She played a supporting role as the daughter of a triad boss. The show was very popular, which helped boost the fame of its actors, including Puff.
In 2012, Puff starred in her first movie, Silent Code. Later that year, she appeared in another TV drama, Miss Rose. She played a supporting role as the spoiled fiancée of the main character, played by Roy Chiu. In December, Dream Girls released their second music album, Girl's Talk.
Rising to Stardom: 2013–Present
In 2013, Puff Kuo made a special guest appearance in Fabulous Boys. This show was the Taiwanese version of the famous Korean drama You're Beautiful. That same year, she landed her first main role in a TV series called Just You, starring alongside Aaron Yan. They played a couple, and their chemistry was loved by fans. They even won the "Best Screen Couple Award" at the 2013 Sanlih Drama Awards. In December 2013, Dream Girls released their first full studio album.
In early 2014, Puff joined the second season of We Got Married Global Edition. This was a variety show where celebrities pretended to be married. She was paired with Super Junior's Kim Heechul. Her appearance on this show made her much more popular outside of Taiwan.
In April 2014, Puff Kuo was cast in Pleasantly Surprised. She starred with the popular actor and model Jasper Liu. They had met before at the 2013 Golden Bell Awards. In Pleasantly Surprised, Puff played an aspiring French chef who was initially cold but eventually fell in love. Puff and Jasper's acting together was a big hit with viewers and critics. They won the "Best Kiss" award at the 2014 Sanlih Drama Awards. Puff also won the "China Wave Award" at the same event, showing her growing popularity in China.
Music Career
Puff Kuo's group, Dream Girls, signed with Linfair Records on March 23, 2011. They officially debuted on April 8 with their first album, Dream Girls (美夢當前). The group's second album, "Girl's Talk," came out on December 7, 2012.
After Puff appeared on We Got Married Global Edition, her fame grew in South Korea. Because of this, Dream Girls was the only Taiwanese music group invited to the "2014 Asia Song Festival" in Busan, South Korea. Puff even helped host the event.
In late 2014, after filming Pleasantly Surprised, Puff took a break from acting. She focused on Dream Girls' next album and a photo book, which were released in December 2014.
