Aaron Yan (traditional Chinese: 炎亞綸; simplified Chinese: 炎亚纶), born Wu Keng-lin on November 20, 1985, is a famous Taiwanese actor, singer, TV host, and businessman. He was also a member of the popular Taiwanese boy band called Fahrenheit.

About Aaron Yan's Life and Career

Early Life and Starting Out (1985–2005)

Aaron Yan was born as Wu Keng-lin in Taipei, Taiwan, on November 20, 1985. When he was very young, he lived in Connecticut, United States, for five years with his family. After that, they moved back to Taiwan.

In 2004, Aaron shared some of his photos on a public blog. This led to him being discovered by a Taiwanese management company called Comic Productions. In August 2004, he started his acting career in a Taiwanese TV show called I Love My Wife. In 2005, after signing with Comic Productions and HIM International Music, he acted in two more Taiwanese dramas: It Started with a Kiss and KO One.

Joining the Boy Band Fahrenheit (2005–2011)

In December 2005, Aaron became part of a boy band named Fahrenheit. The other members were Wu Chun, Jiro Wang, and Calvin Chen. In September 2006, Fahrenheit released their first album, also called Fahrenheit. They even won an award for Best Boy Band at the Hito Music Awards.

In 2007, Aaron continued his acting roles in the follow-up TV shows The X-Family and They Kiss Again. In November 2008, he got his first main role in a Taiwanese mystery show called Mysterious Incredible Terminator. He also appeared in Love Buffet and Gloomy Salad Days.

Aaron Yan's Solo Career (2011–Present)

In March 2011, Aaron released his first extended play (EP), which is like a mini-album, called The Next Me. This album was very popular and stayed at the number one spot on the G-Music chart for five weeks.

In May 2012, Aaron starred in a Taiwanese musical drama, Alice in Wonder City. In October 2012, he released his first full studio album, The Moment.

In June 2013, Aaron acted in the Taiwanese romantic comedy show Just You. This show was very successful and had the highest ratings during the time it was on TV.

In February 2014, Aaron starred in another Taiwanese romance drama, Fall in Love with Me. He won the Asia Star Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards for his work. In May 2014, he released his second EP, Drama. A month later, in June 2014, he released his third EP, Cut.

In March 2015, Aaron started his music career in Japan with a single called "Moisturizing." This song quickly made it into the top ten on the Oricon Singles Chart. In September 2015, he released his second Japanese single, "Gelato."

In March 2016, Aaron starred in the Taiwanese office romance drama Refresh Man. This show was a big hit in Taiwan and across Asia, making Aaron even more popular. In June 2016, he released his third Japanese single, "Monochrome Dandy," which reached number 8 on the Oricon Singles Chart.

In 2017, Aaron was cast in a Chinese romance drama called Memories of Love.

In 2018, Aaron released his fourth EP, Where I Belong. The same year, he released his fifth EP, Dear Monster, which included the song "Sleeping Titan."

In 2019, Aaron played the main male role in a historical mystery drama called Please Give Me a Pair of Wings. In the same year, he also acted in the romantic comedy drama Kiss Love, and Taste.

On May 7, 2020, Aaron launched his own Taiwanese mazesoba noodle brand, called Yan's Collection.

On December 25, 2020, Aaron released his sixth EP, "Metropolis." This EP featured songs that he wrote himself.
