Calvin Chen is a famous actor, singer, and TV host from Taiwan. He is also a model and a businessman. Many people know him as a member of the popular Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit. The other members of the group were Jiro Wang, Wu Chun, and Aaron Yan.

Entertainment Career

Calvin Chen has had a successful career in music, television, and even writing. He is known for his many talents.

Music with Fahrenheit and Solo Work

In 2005, Chen became the third member to join the boy band Fahrenheit. The group became very popular in Asia.

On Fahrenheit's second album, Chen performed a rap part in the song "心裡有數". He also recorded his first solo song, "你是我所有的回憶," for the soundtrack of the TV show The X Family. He often performed Fahrenheit's song "... Girl" at events for fans.

After his bandmates Aaron Yan and Jiro Wang released their own albums, Chen also planned to release a solo album.

Hosting TV Shows

Chen became a TV host for MTV in Taiwan. He hosted a popular music show called 日韩音乐风 (Japan Korea Music Craze). He started hosting the show on July 1, 2010.

By interviewing many Japanese and Korean music artists, Chen became well-known among their fans. He also filled in as a host on other popular Taiwanese shows, like 100% Entertainment and Total Entertainment.

In 2011, Chen was chosen as one of the hosts for a new live show called Apple Entertainment News.

Book Publication

On May 21, 2011, Chen released a photo book called The Incredible Journey of Calvin Chen. The book is about his life as a student in Canada. It also tells the story of how he won a contest and became famous.

Personal Life and Education

Chen attended Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School, a top school in Taiwan. For college, he studied in Canada at Simon Fraser University. He later earned a master's degree in Economics from the University of Victoria.

While in Vancouver, he won a contest called Sunshine Boyz. The prize included a free ticket to Taiwan and a contract with a music company. This was the start of his entertainment career. He joined the band Fahrenheit in 2005. He also started a fashion brand called WOW in 2008.

On January 23, 2020, Chen announced on Instagram that he had married Taiwanese actress Joanne Tseng. They had been in a relationship for ten years.

Chen is multilingual. He can speak Mandarin, English, Taiwanese, and Thai. He also understands some Cantonese, Korean, and Japanese because of his work as a TV host.
