Pukwana is a small town located in Brule County, South Dakota, in the United States. In 2020, about 233 people lived there.
The town of Pukwana was first started in 1881. Many years later, in 1955, people in Pukwana tried to get the new county courthouse moved to their town. However, the city of Chamberlain fought back and managed to keep the courthouse.
