Punta de Lobos is a cool town in Chile. Its name means Sea-lions Point in English. It's part of the Pichilemu area, which is about 6 kilometers (4 miles) north. You can find it in the Cardenal Caro Province of the O'Higgins Region.
This beach is super famous around the world. It's known as an amazing spot for surfing and kiteboarding. The waves here are usually between two and three meters (6.5 to 10 feet) high. This means surfers of all skill levels can find waves that are just right for them.
Discover Punta de Lobos
Punta de Lobos beach has soft, gray sand. It's surrounded by tall cliffs that are about 50 meters (164 feet) high. You'll also see some really unique rocks here. These rocks are a favorite hangout for sea-lions!
A World-Famous Surf Spot
In 2013, Punta de Lobos was chosen as the 7th World Surfing Reserve. This special title was given by an organization called Save The Waves Coalition. Being a World Surfing Reserve means it's a very important place for surfing and needs to be protected.
