History of Quebrada Arenas
Quebrada Arenas has an interesting history. After the Spanish–American War in 1898, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This made Puerto Rico a U.S. territory.
In 1899, the U.S. government counted everyone living in Puerto Rico. This count, called a census, showed that 777 people lived in Quebrada Arenas at that time.
The number of people living in Quebrada Arenas has grown a lot over the years. From 1990 to 2000, the population increased by almost 49%. Then, from 2000 to 2010, it grew by nearly 10%.
