Quebrada Limón is a special neighborhood, called a barrio, in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Ponce has 31 barrios, and Quebrada Limón is one of nine that are on the edge of the city. It shares a border with the city of Peñuelas. This barrio was first established way back in 1878.

Where is Quebrada Limón Located?
Quebrada Limón is a countryside barrio found in the western part of Ponce. It is northwest of the city center, which is called Plaza Las Delicias. The name "Quebrada Limón" means "Lemon Brook" in English. This name comes from the narrow paths between mountains where a stream or creek often flows.
What are the Borders of Quebrada Limón?
Quebrada Limón has natural borders like hills. To the north, it's bordered by hills near El Pecho Road. To the south, it's bordered by hills near Bello Road and Clavel Street. On the west, you'll find hills east of PR-520, and to the east, hills west of PR-502.
When we look at its neighbors, Quebrada Limón is bordered by:
- Marueño to the north
- Canas to the south
- Tallaboa Alta and Rucio barrios from Peñuelas to the west
- Marueño and Canas to the east
Life and People in Quebrada Limón
Quebrada Limón is home to a few communities, like Pastillo Canas and Hacienda Josefa. Pastillo Canas is in the southern part of the barrio, close to the Pastillo community in Canas. Most of Quebrada Limón is a quiet, rural area with lots of nature.
The barrio covers about 2.67 square miles of land. There is no water area within its borders. In 2000, about 804 people lived here. By 2010, the population was 709 people. This means there were about 265.5 people living in each square mile.
The main road that goes through Quebrada Limón is called PR-502. The highest point in the barrio is in its far northern part, reaching 984 feet above sea level.
Natural Landmarks
Many small streams flow through this countryside barrio. One of them is the "Quebrada Limón" itself, which means "Lemon Brook." Another important stream is a part of the Río Pastillo. In fact, the Lemon Brook actually flows into the Río Pastillo!
