Quebrada Vueltas is a barrio, which is like a neighborhood or district, in the town of Fajardo, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 3,665 people lived there.
History of Quebrada Vueltas
Puerto Rico used to be part of Spain. After the Spanish–American War in 1898, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This made Puerto Rico an unincorporated territory of the U.S. This means it is part of the U.S. but does not have all the same rights as a state.
In 1899, the United States Department of War counted the people in Puerto Rico. They found that Quebrada Vueltas and a nearby area called Florencio had 1,289 residents together.
