The Queen of Sheba in the Bible
The Bible tells us about the Queen of Sheba's visit to King Solomon. She heard about his great fame, his wealth, and his amazing wisdom. She traveled a very long way to meet him.
Her Journey to Solomon
The Queen arrived with a huge group of people and many camels. These camels carried valuable gifts. She brought lots of spices, large amounts of gold, and beautiful precious stones. When she met Solomon, she talked with him about everything on her mind. She also asked him many difficult questions and riddles.
Solomon's Wisdom and Gifts
King Solomon answered all her questions. He solved her riddles with his cleverness and deep wisdom. He was also very kind to her. The Queen was amazed and impressed by everything she saw and heard. She gave Solomon a huge reward for his achievements. She gave him "120 talents of gold, large quantities of spices, and precious stones." The Bible says that no one ever brought so many spices again as the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
Solomon also gave her many gifts in return. He gave her "all she desired and asked for." This was in addition to the generous gifts he already gave her from his royal treasury. Their meeting was a famous event showing great wealth and wisdom.
