History of the Airport
This airport is named after Quetzalcoatl, a very important god from the ancient Aztec religion. Quetzalcóatl was seen as a helpful leader among the gods. Years ago, a Mexican airline called Mexicana used to fly from here to big cities like Mexico City and Guadalajara. However, they stopped flying in 2010.
