History of Magnicharters

The story of Magnicharters began with a travel agency called Magnitur. This agency was started in 1984. Later, in 1994, the Bojórquez family decided to create their own airline. They named it Magnicharters.
The airline started flying in January 1995. Its main goal was to fly customers of the Magnitur travel agency. Magnicharters focused on flights for people taking holidays inside Mexico. It mostly served the country's famous beach resorts.
First Female Pilot
Magnicharters made history by being the first Mexican commercial airline to hire a woman pilot. This was a big step forward for women in aviation.
Expanding Flights
In 2000, Magnicharters received permission to offer regular commercial flights. Before this, they mostly flew charter flights and cargo.
In 2014, the airline invested money to make its fleet bigger. That same year, Magnicharters started flying to the United States. They began offering flights from Monterrey to cities like Las Vegas and Orlando.
Special Plane Designs
In July 2017, Magnicharters celebrated a special event. To mark 25 years of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, they painted two of their planes. These planes featured the masks of famous Mexican wrestlers, Dr. Wagner Jr. and Psycho Clown.
