The General Rafael Buelna International Airport (also known as Mazatlán International Airport) is a big airport in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. It is very important for international flights in Sinaloa. For flights within Mexico, it is the second busiest airport in the state, after Culiacan International Airport.
This airport has one main building for travelers, called a terminal. Inside, there are two areas where people wait for their planes, called concourses. The airport is special because it is one of only four airports in Mexico that has an Area Control Center. This center, called "Centro Mazatlán," helps control air traffic for all the planes flying over the northwest part of Mexico.
In 2022, over 1.4 million passengers used Mazatlán International Airport. This was a big increase from the year before, showing how popular this airport is becoming!
