George Bush Intercontinental Airport is a very large international airport in Houston, Texas. It first opened its doors in June 1969.
This airport has five runways, which are like special roads for planes to take off and land. Every day, more than 700 planes fly from here! In 2009, over 40 million passengers traveled through this airport. You can fly from here to about 170 different cities all around the world.
