Rümlang is a town in Switzerland, located in the Zürich area. It's part of the beautiful Glatt Valley. A part of the big Zurich Airport is even located in Rümlang!

Rümlang covers about 12.5 square kilometers. A big part of the land (over half!) is used for farming. Forests cover about a quarter of the area. The rest has buildings, roads, or natural features like rivers.

Getting Around Rümlang
Rümlang has its own train station, called Rümlang railway station. You can catch trains on the Zürich S-Bahn lines S9 and S15 from here. It's only about a 14-minute train ride to Zürich Hauptbahnhof, which is the main train station in Zurich.
Schools and Jobs in Rümlang
Rümlang has two primary schools for younger students. Older students go to the Sekundarschule Rümlang-Oberglatt for their secondary education. If you want to learn music, the Musikschule Bülach serves the area.
Rümlang is home to several important companies. The Dormakaba Group, a global company, has its main office here. Ticketcorner, a company that sells tickets for events, is also based in Rümlang.
Other big employers include Bosshard + Co, which makes paints, and Fröhlich Transklima AG, which works with transport refrigeration systems. The Swiss office of the car rental company Avis is also in Rümlang. In 2022, Swiss Post opened a new center for parcels here.
