Randall Thorne, also known as RT! or R.T. Thorne, is a talented Canadian writer, producer, and director. He started his career making music videos for famous artists like Sean Paul and Drake. Later, he moved into directing episodes for popular TV shows such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, Make It Pop, and Find Me in Paris. He has won three iHeartRadio MMVAs for his directing work.

In 2020, Thorne created and produced the science fiction series Utopia Falls for Hulu. In 2022, he directed and was an executive producer for the CBC Television drama The Porter. For this show, he received awards at the Canadian Screen Awards.

Randall Thorne was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He started his career by directing many music videos. He won 17 international awards for these videos and worked with global music stars like Drake and Snoop Dogg.

Moving to Film and TV

Around 2012, R.T. Thorne began working on longer films and TV shows. He also helps young people who want to get into creative jobs. He was part of The Remix Project, which is a group that helps young people from different backgrounds learn about creative industries.

In 2009, he helped create CITYLIFE, a program that taught young people how to make short films. R.T. was the Director of Programs for CITYLIFE, where he led workshops and mentored young filmmakers.
