Rahman Ahmadi's journey in professional football took him to some of Iran's most famous clubs. He was a talented goalkeeper, whose job was to stop the other team from scoring.

Starting Out

Ahmadi began his career in 1998 with his hometown club, Shamoushak Noshahr. He first played for their youth team. By 2000, he was good enough to join the main team. After four years with Shamoushak, he moved to Saipa, a club where he later won the league championship in 2007.

Playing for Top Clubs

In 2008, Ahmadi joined Sepahan, one of the best teams in Iran. In his second season there, he helped the team win the Iran Pro League title.

Two years later, in 2010, he signed with another major club, Persepolis, based in Iran's capital city, Tehran. He later returned to Sepahan in 2011 and had a great season, helping them win the league title again.

Ahmadi had a special connection with Sepahan, joining them for a third time in 2013. During the 2013–14 season, he was considered one of the best goalkeepers in the league. He had 15 "clean sheets," which means he played 15 full games without letting the other team score a single goal.

International Career

Playing for your country is a huge honor for any athlete. Ahmadi earned this honor when he played for the Iran national team, also known as Team Melli.

He made his first appearance for Iran in 2008 in the final match of the West Asian Football Federation Championship. Iran won the tournament, giving Ahmadi a great start to his international career.

One of his most famous moments came in 2013. The national team's coach, Carlos Queiroz, chose Ahmadi to be the main goalkeeper. Ahmadi played a key role in helping Iran qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. In a very important game against South Korea, he made an amazing double-save to keep the score at 1–0, securing a win for Iran.

In 2014, he was chosen to be part of Iran's squad for the FIFA World Cup. While he was part of the team, he did not play in any of the matches.
