Rainbow Sun Francks (born December 3, 1979) is a Canadian actor. He is well-known for playing Lt. Aiden Ford in the TV show Stargate Atlantis. He also had important roles in other shows like The Listener, The Umbrella Academy, and High Fidelity.

His Early Life and Family
Rainbow Sun Francks was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His father, Don Francks, was a Canadian actor and musician. His mother, Lili Red Eagle, was a dancer from California. She is from the Plains Cree and African-American communities. Rainbow is an honorary member of the Red Pheasant Cree Nation, which is a First Nation group in Canada. He is also the younger brother of actress and singer Cree Summer.
His Acting Career
Before acting, Francks worked at MuchMusic. This was a Canadian TV channel that played music videos. He became famous for his role as US Marine Lieutenant Aiden Ford in Stargate Atlantis. He was a main character in the first season. Later, his role became smaller. He also played Dev Clark on the TV show The Listener. Besides acting, he helps produce music for a hip hop group called The Oddities.
