Walnut Islands, also known as Ramona, is a community in the eastern part of Los Angeles County in the state of California. It is called an "unincorporated area" because it doesn't have its own city government. The county government uses the name Walnut Islands, but some news reports and transit systems have called it Ramona or Covina Hills.
Walnut Islands is surrounded by several cities. To the north are Covina and San Dimas. To the south is Walnut. West Covina is to the west, and Pomona is to the east. In the year 2000, about 4,053 people lived in the Ramona area.
