Ranchera is a small area, called a barrio, located in the town of Yauco, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 446 people lived there. It is known for its quiet, rural setting.
History of Ranchera
Ranchera has an interesting history. After the Spanish–American War, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States in 1898. This happened under the Treaty of Paris of 1898. This made Puerto Rico a territory of the U.S.
