History of Randall

Randall was first known as Vicksburg. It was planned out in 1870. The name was changed to Randall in 1882. The city was named after Edward Randall, who was an early owner of the land.

Randall is a small city. The United States Census Bureau says the city covers about 0.18 square miles (0.47 square kilometers). All of this area is land.

Education in Randall

Students in Randall go to public schools managed by the Beloit USD 273 school district. Younger students attend Randall Elementary School. After that, they go to Beloit Junior-Senior High School.

In the 1960s, schools from Randall and Jewell joined together. They formed the Jewell-Randall schools. Before this, the Randall High School sports teams were called the Randall Panthers. In 2009, the Beloit school district took over some areas from the Jewell district. This happened when the Jewell district closed down.
