Randy Edmunds is a Canadian politician from Newfoundland and Labrador. He was elected to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in 2011. This means he became a Member of the House of Assembly (MHA). He was a member of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador. He represented the area called Torngat Mountains until 2019.

About Randy Edmunds
Randy Edmunds was born in North West River. He is of Inuit descent. His father, William "Bill" Edmunds, helped start the Labrador Inuit Association. This group later became Nunatsiavut. His mother, Ruth Flowers, worked to help women in Labrador.
Randy Edmunds owns and runs a place called the Adlavik Inn in Makkovik. He is married to Lori Dyson. His wife has also been involved in politics. She serves on the town council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. His uncle, Wally Andersen, is also a politician.
Randy Edmunds' Political Journey
Randy Edmunds was first elected as an MHA in 2011. He represented the Torngat Mountains area. This area is very large, covering about 28% of the province. However, it only has six communities. None of these communities can be reached by road. The total population in 2011 was less than 4,000 people. The district includes Nunatsiavut, which is an Inuit self-governing territory. It also includes the Naskapi community of Natuashish.
Randy Edmunds was re-elected in 2015. He won with about 700 votes. His district had the lowest number of voters turn out in the province. Less than 40% of people who could vote actually did.
In the 2019 provincial election, Randy Edmunds lost his seat. He was defeated by his cousin, Lela Evans. She was a candidate for the Progressive Conservative party.
Randy Edmunds was against the Muskrat Falls hydro development. This was a big project to build a power plant.
