Randy Edmunds is a Canadian politician from Newfoundland and Labrador. He was a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly, which is like a provincial parliament. He represented the area called Torngat Mountains from 2011 to 2019. He was part of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador.

His Family and Home Life
Randy Edmunds's father was William "Bill" Edmunds. He helped start the Labrador Inuit Association, which later became Nunatsiavut. His mother, Ruth Flowers, was a strong supporter for women's rights in Labrador.
Randy Edmunds owns and runs a place called the Adlavik Inn in Makkovik. He is married to Lori Dyson. She is involved in local politics and serves on the town council in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Randy Edmunds also has family members who are involved in politics. His uncle, Wally Andersen, is a politician. His cousin, Lela Evans, later became a politician too.
His Time in Politics
Randy Edmunds is of Inuit descent and was born in North West River. He was first chosen to be a politician in 2011. He represented the Torngat Mountains area. This area is very large, covering about 28% of the province.
However, this district has only six communities. None of these communities can be reached by road. The total number of people living there is quite small. The area includes Nunatsiavut, which is a self-governing territory for the Inuit people. It also includes Natuashish, a community for the Naskapi people.
Randy Edmunds was chosen again in 2015. In 2019, he lost his seat in the provincial election to his cousin, Lela Evans. She was a candidate for the Progressive Conservative party.
Randy Edmunds was against the Muskrat Falls hydro development. This was a big project to build a power plant using water.
