Early Life and High School Basketball
Rashard Odomes grew up in different places, including Anchorage, Alaska, Copperas Cove, Texas, and Baltimore, Maryland. His mother, Donna Stewart, was a sergeant in the US Army. Rashard is 6 feet 6 inches (198 cm) tall and weighs 217 pounds (98 kg).
He went to Copperas Cove High School. In his second year, he was named to the all-district second team. As a junior, he was a top player, scoring about 27 points per game. He also grabbed 8 rebounds and made 3 assists per game. He was named the Texas 8-5A Offensive Player of the Year.
In his final year of high school, Rashard continued to excel. He averaged 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. He was chosen for the Texas Class 6-A All-State team. He also earned the District 12-6A MVP award. Rashard finished his high school career as the all-time leading scorer for his school.
College Career at Oklahoma
From 2015 to 2019, Rashard Odomes played college basketball for the University of Oklahoma. While playing, he studied human relations. He was known for his strong defensive skills on the court.
In the 2018-19 season, his shooting percentage for two-point shots was one of the best in the Big-12 conference. In 2019, he was recognized for his good grades. He was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Rashard Odomes began his professional basketball career. In the 2019–20 season, he played for Umeå BSKT in Sweden's Basketligan. He averaged 16.4 points and 2.8 assists per game there.
For the 2020–21 season, he moved to Finland. He played for Joensuun Kataja in the Finnish Korisliiga league. During this time, he averaged 18.2 points and 3.0 assists per game.
In the 2021-22 season, Rashard played for FC Porto Ferpinta in Portugal. He mostly played in the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol. He averaged 12.1 points and 1.6 assists per game for the team.
