Raz Fresco started writing rap lyrics when he was in second grade. He would find beats online to practice with. By the time he was in seventh grade, he began making his own beats. This was the start of his journey as a music producer.
First Mixtapes: 2010-2011
After releasing his first mixtape, Welcome To The Bakersclub, Raz Fresco traveled to Atlanta, Georgia. There, he signed a deal to help manage his music career. In 2010, he released his second mixtape, Laced Up.
In June 2011, Raz Fresco released his third mixtape, MCMXCV. A famous DJ named Don Cannon hosted this mixtape. It was very popular and was downloaded over 15,000 times in its first week.
Later Projects and Albums: 2012-Present

These videos helped him become more known on popular hip hop websites like Complex, Noisey, Vibe, and XXL. CakeyPocket$ was even nominated for an award in 2012.
In late 2012, Raz Fresco released No Hookz with another Bakersclub artist, Chill Will. This was a preview for their full project, The Popcorn Tape, which came out in January 2013. In 2013, Raz Fresco produced a song called "Mobb Dizzle" for Bishop Nehru. This song was featured in the NBA Live 14 video game soundtrack.
