Rasquiz Alfred Johnson (born January 27, 1995), known as Raz Fresco, is a Canadian rapper and record producer. He is from Brampton, Ontario. Raz Fresco is part of a hip hop group called Bakersclub. They have released several mixtapes together. He is also working on his "Magneto Was Right" project, which has many parts.

Raz Fresco has worked with many famous artists. These include Raekwon, Bishop Nehru, Tyga, Big Sean, B.o.B, Wale, French Montana, and Mac Miller.

About Raz Fresco's Life and Music Career

Early Life and Start in Music

Raz Fresco was born in Toronto, Ontario. His parents were from Jamaica. He later moved to Mississauga, Ontario. After that, he moved to Brampton, Ontario, where he went to St. Marguerite D'Youville Secondary School. His uncle is Earl Zero, a well-known dub and roots reggae artist.

Raz started writing rap lyrics when he was in second grade. He would find beats online to practice with. By seventh grade, he began making his own beats.

First Mixtapes: 2010-2011

After releasing his first mixtape, Welcome To The Bakersclub, Raz went to Atlanta, Georgia. There, he signed a management contract. In 2010, he released his second mixtape, Laced Up.

In June 2011, Raz released his third mixtape, MCMXCV. This mixtape was very popular. It was downloaded over 15,000 times in its first week.

Later Projects: 2012-Present

After MCMXCV, Raz Fresco started working on CakeyPocket$. This was his first project where he produced all the music himself. He released eight music videos for this project. These videos helped him become more known on popular hip hop websites. CakeyPocket$ was even nominated for an award in 2012.

In late 2012, Raz released No Hookz with fellow Bakersclub artist Chill Will. This was a preview for their bigger project, The Popcorn Tape, which came out in January 2013. In 2013, Raz produced a song called "Mobb Dizzle" for Bishop Nehru. This song was featured on the NBA Live 14 video game soundtrack. Raz's first official album, Pablo Frescobar, was released in 2015. He has continued to release many projects since then, including his ongoing "Magneto Was Right" series.

Raz Fresco's Personal Beliefs

Raz Fresco is a member of the Five-Percent Nation. He uses the name I Power Allah within this group. He has shared that he learned about the Five-Percent Nation in 2014. He found that their goals, especially about educating young people, matched his own. He believes that understanding history and science helps him create better music. He wants to share knowledge with young listeners through his songs.
