Rebecca Ann Thomas, born on December 10, 1984, is an American filmmaker. She is known for writing and directing movies and TV shows. She is famous for her film Electrick Children. She also directed episodes of popular TV series like Stranger Things, Limetown, and When the Streetlights Go On.

Rebecca Thomas grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When she was younger, she spent 18 months in Japan helping people as part of a church mission. She is married to Mark Garbett, who is a musician in the band The Moth & The Flame.

Rebecca's Directing Work

Rebecca Thomas started her directing career with a short film. It was called "Nobody Knows You, Nobody Cares." This film was shown for the first time at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Her first full-length movie was Electrick Children. It was shown at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2012. It also played in the U.S. at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
