Building the Station

The Red Bank station was built a long time ago, in 1875. The Central Railroad of New Jersey built it. It has been an important part of the town ever since.

A Historic Landmark

In 1976, the station was added to the National Register of Historic Places. This means it's a special building that is important to history. It's part of a group of historic train stations in New Jersey.

Famous Visitors

Many important people have visited the Red Bank station over the years. These include United States Presidents like Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Even King George VI of the United Kingdom visited!

Recent Renovations

The station building got a big makeover between 2012 and 2014. Workers carefully restored it to look like it did when it was first built in 1876. They used materials that were historically correct.

They fixed the roof, replaced old windows, and added new decorative trim. The brick walls and chimney were also repaired. Even the paint color was matched to its original look.

How the Station Works

The Red Bank station has two platforms. These are called side platforms. Each platform is long enough for eight train cars. This means many people can get on and off the train at once.
